How Much Does Peptide Therapy Cost in Idaho?
Peptide therapy at Hormones + Weight Loss ranges from about $100 to $1,000 or more, depending on the peptide you are prescribed and the quantity you order. Many patients start at the lower end with a single peptide and a short cycle, then scale up only if it is working for them. Where you land inside that range comes down to which peptide fits your goal, injectable versus oral or topical form, cycle length, and the labs and follow-up around it. GLP-1 weight-loss programs are priced separately. Your exact number is quoted after a consultation with one of our nurse practitioners.

What drives the price
Which peptide you use
Raw-material cost varies widely. Short, simple peptides are inexpensive to compound; longer or patented molecules such as tesamorelin and the GLP-1s cost far more, and brand-name versions carry manufacturer pricing on top.
Injectable vs. oral or topical
Injectables need sterile compounding, supplies and cold-chain shipping, which raises the price. Oral capsules and topical creams are cheaper to produce but are not appropriate for every peptide, because some are broken down before they can act.
Cycle length and dosing schedule
A four-week recovery cycle costs less than six months of nightly growth-hormone support. Daily protocols use more product than intermittent ones, and pricing usually tracks total quantity rather than time.
Pharmacy and compounding status
Whether a peptide is FDA-approved, eligible for compounding under 503A rules, or available only as an unregulated research chemical changes both price and safety. Licensed-pharmacy sourcing costs more than grey-market product and is the only route we use.
Labs and monitoring
Baseline and follow-up labs are separate from the peptide itself. Growth-hormone peptides need IGF-1 checks; GLP-1 programs need metabolic panels. Any responsible protocol includes these, so budget for them.
Bundling with hormone or weight-loss care
Peptides are often added to an existing hormone-optimization or weight-loss program. When labs, visits and follow-up are already part of that plan, the incremental cost of adding a peptide is usually lower than starting one on its own.
Does insurance cover peptide therapy?
Insurance generally does not cover peptide therapy. Most peptides are prescribed off-label or are not FDA-approved at all, and insurers do not reimburse either. FDA-approved products used for their approved indication, for example tesamorelin for HIV-associated abdominal fat or a GLP-1 for an approved weight or diabetes diagnosis, may be covered depending on your plan, prior-authorization rules and formulary.
Health savings and flexible spending accounts (HSA/FSA) can sometimes be used for prescribed therapy and related labs, but eligibility rules vary, so confirm with your plan administrator before counting on it. Hormones + Weight Loss is a direct-care clinic: you pay us directly, you know the cost before you commit, and there are no insurance pre-authorizations or surprise claims to chase.
How we quote your cost
Our peptide pricing runs from about $100 to $1,000 or more, and the two things that place you inside that range are the peptide itself and the quantity you order. A consultation and labs come first so your nurse practitioner can match the peptide to your goal and set a cycle length that makes sense for you.
Your nurse practitioner then walks you through the cost, line by line: the peptide, the form, the cycle length, the labs and the follow-up visits. Nothing is prescribed until you have seen and agreed to it.
There are no surprise fees. Pharmacy pricing does move as sourcing and regulations change, so the ranges on this page are a guide and your exact number is confirmed at your visit.
When a cheap peptide price is a red flag
Peptides that are dramatically cheaper than the ranges above are usually unregulated research chemicals, not pharmacy-compounded product.
No prescription required. A legitimate peptide comes from a licensed pharmacy under a prescriber's order; anything else is a research chemical being sold for human use.
Labels reading research use only or not for human consumption on a product being marketed to you as therapy.
No labs, no health history and no follow-up. Price without monitoring is not a bargain; it is an untracked experiment.
Guaranteed results or fixed weight-loss promises. No legitimate clinic guarantees outcomes, and no peptide has earned that claim.

Peptide Therapy Cost FAQs
At Hormones + Weight Loss, peptide therapy ranges from about $100 to $1,000 or more depending on the peptide and the quantity ordered. Recovery and growth-hormone peptides on a short cycle tend to sit toward the lower end; larger quantities, multi-peptide plans and tesamorelin sit higher. GLP-1 weight-loss programs are priced separately. Your exact cost comes after your consultation and labs.
It depends on the peptide and how much you order: a single peptide on a short cycle can start near the $100 end of our range, while a three-month supply of one or more peptides moves toward the higher end. Ordering a longer supply at once is usually the most economical way to run a full cycle. Your nurse practitioner quotes the exact figure before anything is prescribed.
Generally no. Most peptides are off-label or not FDA-approved, and insurers do not reimburse them. FDA-approved products used for an approved indication may be covered depending on your plan. HSA/FSA funds can sometimes be used for prescribed therapy; check with your plan administrator. We are a direct-care clinic and do not bill insurance.
Pricing differs by which peptide is used, injectable versus oral form, cycle length, whether the pharmacy is a licensed compounder or an unregulated supplier, and whether labs, visits and follow-up are included or billed separately. Two quotes that look far apart often cover very different levels of care and product quality.
Usually not. Products sold without a prescription are typically research chemicals with no purity, potency or sterility verification, and the FDA has documented mislabeled and contaminated peptide products. The lower price reflects missing oversight, not efficiency. Licensed-pharmacy sourcing under a nurse practitioner's care costs more because it includes what keeps you safe.
The consultation and labs come first because they determine what, if anything, is appropriate for you. Our consultation and lab pricing is confirmed when you book, so you know the cost of the first step before your visit and the cost of any protocol before it is prescribed.
