Neurotoxins are injectables used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Wrinkles form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting wrinkles in the skin. Neurotoxins are prescription medications which are injected into the muscles where it relaxes the muscle to temporarily cause the wrinkles to soften.
